Week 13 – Achieving Life’s Rewards

Strengthen Your Sense of Humor

When was the last time you had a really good laugh? I don’t mean a little
chuckle here and there, I mean a hearty – life is good kind of laugh. If you have
to pause to think about it then today is definitely for you.

“Laughter is the best medicine”. Of course we have all heard this saying when
it comes to overcoming illness but could it be true to building wealth as
well?

I believe it is. A good sense of humor has the ability to ease the many
bumps that will no doubt come along the path to success. And a
great side benefit is that it makes you a much more likable person!

I sometimes forget this. Do you?

The great news is that if you don’t have a naturally sunny disposition as
with all of our other principles, you can of course develop it.

Start with looking at what you have instead of what you don’t have. This
small change in focus will help to instantly lighten your load and free
your heart for a at least a few more smiles throughout the day.

The simple art of gratitude. The seemingly small overlooked blessings,
your health, a roof over your head, food in your stomach, the love and
respect from family and friends.

To move even deeper into gratitude will have a profound change in the
way you view your day and your life and will ultimately give you the chance
to actually enjoy the ride.

Hmmm, there is a concept!

Can you look at each and every “failure” as a stepping stone to your success?

Remember the man who cursed his luck because he had no shoes, until he
met the man with no feet. It could ALWAYS be worse.

Never let a day go by without a prayer of thanks for what you have, what you
experience and don’t forget for those things that are coming to you!

Another great way to lift the spirits to create more space for laughter is to
remember that there is no problem that is unique or new. You can
always find comfort and support from others that have experienced what
you may be experiencing.

You are not alone! A greater power is with you always!

Emerson said, “An adventure is nothing more than an inconvenience,
rightly considered.”

Consider for a moment that your life, your search for success is a great
adventure. This will no doubt loosen the grip that may feel as though
is cutting you off from enjoying the ride.

Once you are loose…find every possible reason to smile and laugh. And of
course fit a good long belly laugh in there every once in a while.
