Week 17 – Achieving Life’s Rewards

Do What You Want to Do

What does that mean?  So many people spend their entire lives doing what they
think they should do at a job that they hate.  You have 1 opportunity (as far as I
know) to live this life to the fullest.

I think the only should in your life is, You SHOULD do what YOU want to
do.  Are you doing that?  Are you really doing that?

Do you absolutely love getting up in the morning to get into action at a job
that you love.  Even if you own your own business, it is ultimately your job…do
you love it?

If the answer is a resounding NO then what are you going to do about it?

Oh, I can already hear the excuses flying.

“I don’t know what else I would do.”

“I don’t have training or schooling in the area that I want to be in.”

“I’ve never done anything else.”

“I don’t think I’m smart enough, lucky enough, rich enough (whatever
you insert here on a regular basis).”

We all can come up with a host of reasons why we stay stuck in a job,
career, business that doesn’t make us happy, fulfilled or rich.  That isn’t
the hard part.

The challenging and empowering part is to come up with a host of reasons
why you should DO what YOU want to do.

First step: Clarity

What do you want to do?  What makes you happy?  What makes you feel
fulfilled?  What gets you really excited?

Second step: Persistence

Nothing will just fall into your lap and I am certainly not saying this process
is going to be an easy one.  What I am saying is that you have 1 chance
to live this life according to your terms.  What are YOU going to do about it?

I know you are good enough, smart enough, talented enough to be, do,
and have anything that you want.  And if you wonder at all if this is true,
just know that my certainty overcomes your doubt.

Go out there and claim your own piece of the good life.  There is plenty
to go around!
