Week 11 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Use Your Personal Magnetism
We have all met those people that instantly draw us in. They are the
people that seem to always have people around them and exude
success and confidence.
Every one of us possess this personal magnetism to some
degree. Obviously some more than others. The question is; can
this trait be developed. This particular trait seems to be a biological
inheritance that determines how much enthusiasm, love and joy that
we are capable of generating and sharing.
Week 10 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Enthusiasm
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Nothing great is
ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
Do you have it? Do you have it for your life? Do you have
it for your business?
Without it you certainly won’t get very far in your effort to
achieve any measurable amount of success.
For obvious reasons you will find it very difficult to
have a successful business without enthusiasm.
No matter what you think about selling, you are always
ultimately selling yourself and you are definitely
selling your business.
Week 9 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Flexibility
I have heard it said that flexibility is one of the cornerstone’s
of a pleasing personality. If it is your desire to be successful
you will need the assistance of a great deal many people.
Therefore it is necessary to have the ability to draw people
to you. It is important to be well-liked and respected.
To be flexible simply means to have the ability to bend
mentally and physically to adapt to one’s circumstances
while maintaining self-control and composure.
This in no way means to become someone that makes
decisions on a whim or turns into a yes person. That isn’t
what we are discussing here. Having flexibility actually gives
you the ability to see things more clearly and make decisions
more effectively.
Week 8 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Patience
I want it now. This is a statement that is commonly uttered
by my 3 year old son. It is however a statement that is
commonly felt by many people.
Maybe you have been striving for success for some time
and are still struggling to see the results you desire. Have
you ever thought for even a moment that the seeds of
success are growing inside of you with every book that you
read, every seminar that you attend, and every failure that you have.
Are you able to stand back for just a moment and have
patience with yourself? It’s easy to have patience for the
3 year old or the old lady in front of you at the store. Much
more challenging to have patience with yourself. Patience
with your own success.
Week 7 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Hopefulness
It all begins with Hope. Hope is the driving force
that brings us to faith, faith to determination and
finally that determination drives you to action.
Action towards a better future for you and your loved
ones. Take a look at your current circumstances,
chances are you find yourself struggling in some areas.
Chances are that your “Reality” doesn’t match with
the dream that you have for your life.
What will pull you from that reality? Hope. It is the
one thing more than any other that you are able to
form from nothing. As you sit with your thoughts and
your dreams hope is your lifeline.
A Full Year of Inspiration
Thanks Stacey Hall!
My friend and business partner came up with this great idea to give a weekly email to our list based on Napoleon Hill’s book “A Year of Growing Rich” 52 Steps to Achieving Life’s Rewards. She is such a good friend that she let me take on the project and I am certainly glad that she did!
It has given me a reason to flex my personal development mental muscles again. I forgot how much I LOVE teaching this material!
So, I am taking 1 topic each week and writing on it from my perspective. I hope you enjoy the weekly teachings. I know I love writing them…some more than others ;).
Enjoy!
Week 6 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Sincerity
Here is a word you don’t hear often tossed around when speaking of your own success. There is no doubt that to be successful you must have definite of purpose. Have you ever wondered how sincerity would help to propel that purpose?
I want you to test your sincerity with your current endeavor. Ask yourself, “I fully realize that I am seeking personal profit, however do I know within my heart that I am exceeding the value expected for my good or service. Am I looking for something for nothing?”
Sincerity is a trait that will give you the utmost in satisfaction as you move towards your goals and your dreams. Are you doing what you do only for yourself or do you hold a higher vision and purpose even above the money and the stuff that it will surely bring.
Will you find success without sincerity? Certainly you will with direction, purpose and action. I believe, however, the rewards will be much greater and swifter with sincerity on your side.
Week 5 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Strength Grows Out Of Struggle
Struggles, conflicts, issues, problems. Whatever you may call it these are
the moments in our lives that create the opportunity for growth; the opportunity
for success.
The question for you this week is whether or not you take this view when faced
with struggle. Do you see it as an opportunity for growth or do you see
it as just another moment in life designed to break you.
There is no success without struggle and there is not a single successful
person that has not endured their fair share. To find success and riches
one must endure the challenges of struggle.
Emerson said, “Do the thing and you shall have the power.”
Week 4 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Some Succeed Others Fail…Why?
A question for the ages no doubt. I am sure everyone out there has
some opinion on this question. This is however answered
quite simply by pointing out major differences in a successful
person and a failure.
Success: Knows exactly what her purpose is and has a plan.
Failure: Has no definite purpose and believes that luck plays a part
in her success.
Success: Understands the power of relationships and utilizes
that power to help carry out plans and purpose.
Failure: Find fault in people and makes it quite clear to everyone
this is how she feels.
Success: He thinks before he speaks and understands the power
of his words.
Failure: Speaks before he thinks and has no regard for the
negativity that spews from his mouth.
Success: Is mindful of time, income, expenditures. Lives within his
means.
Failure: No regard for any of these and lives far beyond his means.
Success: She is open-minded and tolerant.
Failure: She believes her way is the only way and shuts herself off
from the opportunity of others experience and knowledge.
Week 3 – Achieving Life’s Rewards
Motivate Yourself to Achieve Success
What do all the winners in life; the REAL success stories know? What do they do that the average individual doesn’t do?
They all understand that the motivation for success comes from a burning desire to achieve a certain goal…a certain dream.
Have you decided on your goal? Without the clear picture of your desires; of your life dreams how will you have the ability to move yourself forward when everything in your life is trying to hold you back.
Attaining true success is not easy. You will come across many obstacles. You will come across many nay-sayers. What is the only thing that will keep you moving forward when everyone and everything is telling you to quit?
Your own burning desire to achieve success. It is not enough to merely want something. You must desire something to such a degree that it will get you up early in the morning and keep you up late into the evening. A burning desire that will not flinch in the face of those that you love questioning or ridiculing.
Remember, there is a big difference between wishing for something and deciding definitely that you WILL have it.
